This past winter, our Ravenswood Cornerstone program partnered with Rethink Food and Tacombi Community Kitchen to provide free, hot meals to community members. Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday since November 2021, Tacombi has delivered their delicious Mexican meals to our Ravenswood Cornerstone site, which are then distributed by Riis staff. Around 60 Ravenswood residents and other community members in need receive food each week. By utilizing excess food to feed people facing food insecurity, Rethink and Tacombi are combating food waste and ensuring that all of our neighbors are food-secure. We are so grateful for their partnership and dedication to building a more equitable community.
