Riis Academy hosted its Second Annual Science Fair on Tuesday, January 28, and it was a fantastic success! The event was filled with excitement and scientific wonders as each group presented their experiments to a panel of judges. In the elementary school category, Ravenswood Cornerstone took first place, Queensbridge took second, and CS111 took third. In the middle school category, Queensbridge earned first place, CS111 placed second, and Ravenswood claimed third.
Experiments included PS166’s Perfect Parachute, Queensbridge’s Osmosis, Ravenswood’s Invisible Egg, and Turning Milk into Plastic. The creativity of Riis Academy shone through in each presentation. Attendees enjoyed a family meal, and snacks were provided throughout the event. At the closing, families, students, and staff gathered to award trophies and celebrate the winners for their impressive achievements.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made this such a memorable experience for our Riis youth!
