Children, Youth, and Family Services

Our Youth Services program strives to unlock potential, foster academic and socioemotional growth, and equip young people with the necessary tools to succeed in school and the workplace.

More about Children, Youth, and Family Services

Youth Services comprises two main programs: Riis Academy provides high-quality afterschool and summer programming to help students in grades K-12 thrive academically and socially. We operate programs in three local public schools (PS111, PS166, and Information Technology High School) and in the Queensbridge and Ravenswood community centers. Our Youth Workforce Development programs offer training and paid work opportunities to help young people (14-24) gain the skills and experience necessary to succeed in the workplace.
