Riis Academy-PS166 offers comprehensive after-school programming and Summer Rising summer camp for elementary school children (K-5th grade).

As a DYCD COMPASS program, Riis Academy-PS166 caters to elementary age children by integrating literacy, homework help, basic arts instruction, and physical activity, including nutritional programming, to promote healthy living. We provide a holistic youth development model that engages youth in active, collaborative, and meaningful learning, incorporating hands-on projects and physical activities.

We encourage collaborative learning by allowing students to work as a team while developing skills for listening and conflict resolution. Youth can engage in fun trips exploring their city and interests. This program continues to operate on school holidays.
