The program aims to improve the quality of life for babies and children by equipping parents and caregivers with the tools they need to thrive. The Pregnancy and New Parent Program Coordinator at Riis helps facilitate access to prenatal care, connects clients to essential resources, provides education tailored to their needs, and collaborates with agency partners to ensure comprehensive services for clients and their families.

 

The program addresses themes such as:

  • Childbirth preparation and recovery
  • Newborn care and safety
  • Postpartum changes
  • Parenting roles and responsibilities
  • Parental conflict resolution

 

The program distributes:

  • Diapers and wipes
  • Basic infant necessities
  • Pack 'n Play, along with accessories

 

Workshops and group meetings include:

  • Breastfeeding support
  • Infant care education
  • Family reading activities

 

We offer referrals for:

  • Doula services
  • Mental healthcare
  • Early intervention services

 

The program also offers Milestone Incentives for:

  • Breastfeeding at 3, 6, and 12 months
  • Introducing solids at 6 months
