CS111

Riis Academy-CS111 offers comprehensive after-school programming and Summer Rising summer camp for elementary and middle school students.

Riis Academy-CS111 offers comprehensive after-school programming and Summer Rising summer camp for elementary (K-5th grade) and middle school (6-8th grade) students.

As a DYCD COMPASS program, Riis Academy-CS111 caters to elementary age children by integrating literacy, homework help, basic arts instruction, and physical activity, including nutritional programming, to promote healthy living. Also serving as a DYCD SONYC (School’s Out NYC) program, the model affords middle school students a choice in how they spend their time, provides rigorous instruction in sports and arts, and requires youth leadership through service. Youth have the opportunity to engage in fun trips exploring their city and interests.

This program continues to operate on school holidays.
