November 12, 2015 Legacy Awards Gala

Riis Settlement will hold its 2015 Legacy Awards Gala at the Museum of the City of New York on November 12, 2015. We will honor those who have helped us carry Jacob A. Riis’ vision forward, namely the TransCanada Corporation, NYC Council Majority Leader Jimmy Van Bramer and Lena Townsend and Anne Lawrence of The Robert Bowne Foundation. This event will also serve as the principal fundraising event of our year. It is timed to coincide with the Museum of the City of New York exhibit Jacob A. Riis: Revealing New York’s Other Half which showcases the groundbreaking anti-poverty work of the visionary from Denmark whose name we bear. Private tours with exhibit curator Bonnie Yochelson will be held for our sponsors on the night of the event. General Admission is $325. Program only admission with doors opening at 8pm for presentations and desserts is $100.
