Funding News!

We’re honored to announce that Riis has been selected as a 2024-2025 grantee of the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation! The Foundation was inspired by Mother Frances Xavier Cabrini, who dedicated herself to service and social justice. Its mission is to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable New Yorkers, and Riis is proud to be part of this important work.

In their latest round of grantmaking, the Foundation has awarded a total of 539 grants, amounting to $208 million, to nonprofit and community-based organizations. Riis received a grant to support our Pregnancy and New Parent Program (P&NPP), which provides vital resources to pregnant families and new parents in western Queens.

The goal of our P&NPP is to improve the quality of life for babies and children by equipping parents and caregivers with the tools needed to thrive, including workshops focused on maternal health and well-being, infant care, resources for mental health care and doula services, and access to essential baby needs.

We are deeply grateful to be a part of the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation’s mission and look forward to continuing to serve our families as they embark on the journey of parenthood.
