Congrats to our Fall 2021 ESOL Graduates!

Congratulations to our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) students for completing their fall classes this December. This graduation day was special because it was the first time since the beginning of the pandemic that we were able to offer classes in-person in addition to our online options. We served 226 students across 10 classes, 6 of which took place in-person in LIC and Astoria. We are proud of the hard work of each and every student over the course of the semester to improve their English skills and pursue their personal and professional goals in the United States. We are also thankful for our teachers whose dedication, passion, and creativity have fostered a supportive learning community for students in these unprecedented times.

Winter ESOL classes began on January 18th. We are offering a total of 14 weekly classes across 5 levels, including 6 in-person classes. The semester began completely online for the safety of our staff and community members, until it is safe to return to the classroom.

Students from online and in-person classes receive course completion certificates and celebrate their achievements together.
